  1. And y'know, I thought Luxor was in Las Vegas.

Speaking of Las Vegas, check out the daily LVS chart, and see the W formation with the higher low and breakout for a higher high on the right hand side.

I didn't notice this, it was posted on Minyanville by Scott Redler. Most of the posts there are done by folks with their own agenda, but Scott is one that seems to be genuinely trying to help us out.

for example, he posted a look at MGM. Take a look at that one and see what a W with higher lows can mean to you, and where in that trending market you might enter to make money.

He posted a set of 6 charts as he went through his higher lows and adding, as I tried to do but failed because I didn't get a higher high. But you might just look at MGM and see it for yourself.

And Thor, I always thought it was a sunset over Denial.

    But, whadda I know.

  2. Rock - Heh, that's right! My in-laws live in Vegas and we drive out a few times a year. Sad to say I thought of The Luxor hotel when I visited the Pyramids.

I have noticed though, that whenever we've been to Vegas the last few years, the tourists still seem to keep on coming. The mix seems to change, less Americans, more Chinese and Canadians, but people are still coming to Sin City in droves.

  3. Just for fun, have a look at the M's. That's not M&M, but M&M&M

    http://www.shadowstats.com/alternate_data/money-supply-charts

It appears that M3 may be pausing. We are entering "reporting season" with a leading indicator SCHN "schnning the bed".

X may not be far behind, but it fell almost as much as SCHN is sympathy. I'm looking for a recovery in X until they report on the 25th. So I'l go long as soon as I see a higher low and W formation on the 60 minute chart, then short the report. This is just for fun, I don't intend to hurt myself in this play.

  4. Thor, you know, looking back, sometimes I wish I sinned a little more. At least, a little. Sigh.

    well, maybe not.

  5. With the Defense budget in the news, you might expect some folks bailing the D stocks. Looking at them, I guess it's not yet. (Funny, I remember I said the D stocks would do well because nobody would dare cutting the D budget, but that's not what's in the news).

Remember also, I read somewhere, that China said they'd never invade the US because there's a gun behind every Rock. Yep.

Anyway, it looks like moonshots for
ITA BA COL GD GR LLL NOC PCP HON and RTN.

LMT and UTX looks like they've caught a cold, by comparison, tho.

Anyway, I'm quite surprised to see the D stock performance, based on the news of cutting defense programs and spending.

  6. "In Attack's Wake, Political Repercussions".

    http://global.nytimes.com/

"Mr. Loughner...(in) Internet postings made disjointed statements on topics like the gold standard and mind control...".

"Sheriff Clarence W. Dupnik blamed the toxic political enviornment in Arizona.."

"As Judge Roll walked up to her and shouted "Hi", the gunman shot the judge".

"Judge Roll had been involved in immigration cases and had received death threats..".

"Constituents were dissatisfied with Democratic leaders in Washington".

But who is to blame for the mess the U.S. is in - no jobs, trillion $ debt, and high food and fuel inflation? All parties are.

Misdirected hatered. And a sad day for Arizona!

  7. ICan - agreed. It's been a very sad couple of YEARS for Arizona.

  8. Nice pictures, Thor.

On another note, Adam Vinatieri should prepare for a future visit to Canton.

  9. @Thor,

    Nice fotos.

Love the desert! But love and hatred co-exit like day and night, hot and cold, black and white. I bet Arizona is beautiful too.

  10. Love the photos, Thor. I am not sure if I will ever make it to Egypt but now I have a better understanding of the country. Thanks!

  11. @Rock,

Scott's article is only available to subscribers.

  12. Agree with you about Vinatieri, Emmy. Best kicker ever, easily. Like the Mariano Rivera of kickers. I don't thinkk he's EVER missed a big kick. Amazing. You'd think yesterday would have been the day to do it if he was going to do it. A 50 yarder? Made it easily too.

Looking VERY forward to Patriots-Jets next weekend.

  14. Looking clearly like a targeted assassination plot, based on the evidence being recovered. I think it's important to call it what it was here.....

  25. Just for the record my political leaning is skeptic-ism if somehting.

Why? Because reading history helped me develop a not so great expectation about the velocity at what we tend to increase our productivity bettering in that way the chances for the race. One race only and (call me crazy) I included all humans in it.

We are grossly underdeveloped. It took us around 1.4 million years to develop some imagination and start carrying utensils and shaping stones in a bifacial form and hunt bigger animals than us, instead of just using whatever was around to help us with the food and drop it.

So maybe we can have another productivity leap again allowing a better standard of living for all humans withouth the need to killing each other to have enough food and resources.

    But I'm somehow skeptic.

A fascist state don't help in that productivity leap, it just managed what we have and instead of use our imagination to produce more and bring more people to the table so to speak it ends calling for extermination of part of the human race as a "final solution"

    http://www.rense.com/general37/fascism.htm

Yes very depresing as a one race.Try to keep reading if you can stomach what folows the 14 points.I did for a while until I read J Menguele bringing candy to a small group of kids that called him uncle Joseph I couldn't keep reading.

On the other hand you have the opposite side of the political spectrum with Stalin starving to death millions (I think the toll is even bigger than what the nazis did), in his own nation as his way to "solve" his problem.Exterminating instead of use our imagination to make an improvement for all of us.

A fascist state is dangerous for the majority of humans that's why we need to remain vigilant as a way to prevent the maffia rings (the elite) to become too concentrated in power or the vast majority are going to be screwed even more.
Regardless if the label is left or right.

So probably you are just pulling our legs as a weird way to have some fun, but deep inside you don't believe what you say.

Instead I'm an old fashioned guy and I believe what I say and I don't like to disrespect people and I don't like being disrespected.
No nazi at all but please sir don't insinuate that I'm a fucking communist either.
    Use your imagination.
    Thank you

  26. @ the small picture:

over here, you gotta watch out for rocks and dogs.

    @Dastro:
I took a course in college (yes, I went to college, too)(although you'd hardly know it) called "History from the financial perspective" or something like that, It's been a long long time, which absolutely blew me away. It affected me far more than the courses I took on the Bible and Koran.

That course removed all my skepticism, and also most of my deep-seated religious beliefs.

  27. Rock

Science was the mortal enemy of the church in medieval times in Europe.
    Fortunately science won.

I grew as a catholic in a catholic country at 17 I stopped paying attention to religion.

When my astrological studies started I remember comenting it casually to the young priest in the church congregation.I remember his puzzled look and him mentioning that I shouldn't do something like that.

Yeah my personal inquisition only 500 years later than the original one.

So that day they lost me.I understood what all this middlemen stand for. Social control, and asking people money and tell them what is good or bad for them.

The best religion is to have a good heart period, everybody understands that if they are not bigots, no need for elaborate rituals if someone wants to do good, empower and help fellow humans.

Astrology is the mother of all sciences.Crazy mother? yes but the origins anyhow.
The first methodical way to understand cycles on earth by making correlations with the movements on the stars.

The conection of disparate elements that doesn't look connected at all.

It was the first succesful hypothesis, the first human attempt to raise above the ground.

That entrepreneurial spirit of ancient men/women pushed them relentlesly for more, building the first abstract knowledge the human race ever dare to get.

The first abstract knowledge that populated the brain of the human race.

And just not too many thousand years before almost creeping on the surface on earth for something to eat. That is the human spirit!
