  4. Hello from here!

Maine is breathtaking, I've been here once before and loved it, but my god, the leaves! I've seen a lot of the world and Maine is one of the most beautiful places on Earth. Hands down. And we haven't even gotten to the coast yet!

Not much else to say, we're driving up to the tippy top tomorrow, then wherever. We don't come home for a week! If it never got cold, or humid, I'd move here in a heartbeat!

Looks like the Occupy Wall Street is finally getting legs, I see there's one in LA now. I'll have to check it out when we get home.

    Hope all are well!

  5. Manny - We're going to skip Boston I think, we really like being out here in the middle of nowhere. Such a refreshing change from life in LA, neither of us is in any hurry to head to a big city anytime soon. :-/

  6. @Thor: Glad to hear your'e loving out there. As I've said, I believe now is the best time to view New England. When the weather is good this time of year, it's so beautiful. Don't blame you for skipping Boston, but you should definitely do it another time. I think you'd find it to be not nearly as crazy or stresfful as you think (in comparison to places like LA or NYC).

  9. Thor - It certainly does look like this Occupy movement is gaining in strength, which is somewhat surprising as they do not seem to have a clear leader or agenda.

Portland (OR - Not Maine) had their 40th annual Marathon this weekend and had reserved a city park a year in advance, this park happened to be the same park that Occupy took over and of course in the news there was a lot of sensationalism about possible conflicts, but nope not a one Occupy Portland worked hand in hand with the Marathon people and it turned out very well.

Of course there will always be idiots in any group who only want to cause problems and there was a small group of people spay painting and vandlizing stuff, but once they were pulled off the streets the problem went away.

  11. Greeting from Robinston Maine. We drove up through Canada today and then back down through the top of Maine. Fascinating trip, one of my favorites of all time. We're following the leaves, and it's like driving forward and backward in time. The farther north we went, the colder it got, the trees had already lost their leaves, and it definitely felt like fall. Driving south we came into fall, the leaves were in riot and the weather warmed up. Now we're on the coast and the leaves are just starting to change here.
Chilly tonight though, only 45. High is supposed to be 73 tomorrow though :-P Looks like we brought the LA weather with us.

The picture above, if I can get it to load on this slow connection, is from earlier this evening.
